Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Max goes global: New vacuum with mop roller and AI detection

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Max is a robot vacuum and mop now listed on Xiaomi’s global website, signaling an upcoming launch beyond China. However, it is not yet available in the United States. Possible alternatives are already on sale. In China, the device is priced at around $680, though U.S. pricing is expected to be higher.

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Max combines strong suction with advanced mopping capabilities. It features a mop roller that is continuously cleaned and supplied with fresh water during operation. The base station performs a more thorough cleaning using hot water. A separate round mop is included to improve edge and furniture cleaning, complemented by an extendable side brush.

Xiaomi advertises a maximum suction power of 35,000 Pa alongside an advanced obstacle detection system. Using multiple cameras, the robot can distinguish between different types of objects and detect liquids. When liquids are identified, it performs a more intensive cleaning of the affected area. If both liquid and solid debris are detected, the Xiaomi Home app issues a warning. According to the manufacturer, the device can overcome obstacles up to 6 cm (2.4 in) high.
