Sweekar AI Pocket Pet is a Tamagotchi that physically grows, learns, and remembers

Takway AI is hoping to bring back the iconic Tamagotchi from the 90s but with a modern makeover. Just like a Tamagotchi, the Sweekar is a companion that you need to take care of. By introducing AI to the companion, Takway has instilled individual growing identities in Sweekars, and no two models are alike.
A Sweekar goes through four life stages: egg, baby, teen, and adult. These are defined by different levels and the changes in actual physical size. The egg is 6.1 cm, but it grows all the way to 7.1 cm as it hits the adult stage. Takway AI explains that growth is not time-based but XP-based, and each Sweekar gets XP based on interactions with the user like feeding, talking, cleaning, and picking it up. This means it responds to physical touch and also has environmental awareness.
Sweekar also has a long-term emotional memory that retains habits, stories, favorite things, the owner's voice, and more. Furthermore, the AI powering each Sweekar is continuously learning over time. There are also several outfit options to personalize Sweekars.
The project is currently up on Kickstarter with 1,080 backers and is currently sitting at $206,575 pledged with 48 days to go. The complete outfit bundle, which includes four outfits, is priced at $178, while the two Sweekar + one outfit bundle is priced at $298.
