Best Samsung pre-order deal to end with Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Ultra) and Galaxy Z Flip8

Paying for 256 GB of storage and getting 512 GB sounds like a pretty good deal, doesn’t it? Even better you could have received a 1 TB Samsung phone if you paid for the 512 GB storage option in the past. Since the Galaxy S23 launch in 2023, the free storage doubling offer following Galaxy Unpacked events has been a standard fare of all Samsung pre-order deals in many countries around the world. However, that’s likely to change in 2026, as industry publication Chosun currently reports out of Korea.
According to the report, industry insiders mentioned that Samsung has apparently decided to offer only a scaled-back version of this deal in light of the sharp rise in component prices. The new arrangement apparently stipulates that pre-order customers will save 50 percent of the price difference between the 256 GB and 512 GB storage options, but will have to pay the remaining 50 percent. Whether this also applies to the price difference between the 512 GB model and the 1 TB top-of-the-line variant was not mentioned.
Even though these industry insiders are often correct in their reports, this information has not yet been officially confirmed. It’s also unclear whether this is an international policy or applies only to the Korean market. Theoretically, it’s entirely possible that the generous free storage upgrades will continue in international markets but it’s probably best not to count on it. Recent leaks delivered almost all the specs of Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8 as well by the way.
