While the new Snapdragon Wear Elite is set to replace the older Exynos chipsets in both the Galaxy Watch9 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra2, the previously leaked battery specs were likely incorrect in at least one case according to a new specs leak from Germany.

Just a few days left until the Galaxy Unpacked event and the leaks are getting more and more detailed and hopefully more reliable. Roland Quandt is currently reporting about the specs of the next-generation Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch Ultra on Winfuture, which are set to launch on July 22 as the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Following the official render images of the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 redesign and the unchained look of the Galaxy Watch 8 successors the leaker is now providing more detailed specs, though a few of these details contradict earlier reports.

According to the latest information from Germany, both Samsung wearables will use the Snapdragon Wear Elite unveiled at MWC in February, replacing the Exynos wearable chips used previously. While the RAM appears to be 2 GB across all models, there will be Watch variants with 32 GB or 64 GB of storage. As for the displays, everything remains unchanged from last year, with sizes of 1.3 inches and 1.5 inches, and resolutions of 438 x 438 pixels or 480 x 480 pixels, respectively. The Galaxy Watch9’s 5 ATM-certified case is made of aluminium, while the new Samsung ultra wearable features a titanium case that will be water-resistant up to 100 meters.

The newly leaked battery specifications differ from previous leaks in at least once case. Those were actually fairly reliable indications from a certification site a few weeks ago. At that time, it was reported that all Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 variants would get larger batteries but according to the new leak the smaller 40mm Galaxy Watch 9 will stay with its smallish 325mAh battery of previous generations. The larger 44mm models will apparently get a moderate increase and offer 445mAh battery capacity in the future while the 47mm Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will get the biggest increase and jump from 590mAh to 800mAh, provided the new information is correct.
