Prices leaked: Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will be more expensive

After a leak had already revealed the higher prices for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide, and the Galaxy Z Flip8, Winfuture also managed to uncover the allegedly final prices for the next-generation Galaxy Watches. The successors to the Galaxy Watch8 ($279 on Amazon) and the Galaxy Watch Ultra are expected to be officially unveiled on Wednesday, July 22, during a Galaxy Unpacked launch event.
The smartwatches won’t be spared a price increase either, as Samsung is reportedly raising the suggested retail price of all four variants of the Galaxy Watch9 by €30. This means the most affordable Galaxy Watch9, featuring a 40-millimeter case and no cellular modem, will cost €409. Samsung is reportedly charging an additional €50 for the LTE modem, and an extra €30 for the larger 44-millimeter case. This brings the price of the top-of-the-line 44-millimeter model with an LTE modem to €489.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 reportedly costs €749, €50 more than its predecessor, though this watch is said to be available exclusively with an LTE modem. While the design of the Galaxy Watch9 remains largely unchanged, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 features a new, labeled bezel that may be rotatable. The next-generation Galaxy Watches are all expected to feature significantly larger batteries as well as an upgrade to the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite. Here’s a comparison of the prices:
- Samsung Galaxy Watch9 (40 mm Bluetooth) – €409 (+€30)
- Samsung Galaxy Watch9 (40 mm LTE) – €459 (+€30)
- Samsung Galaxy Watch9 (44 mm Bluetooth) – €439 (+€30)
- Samsung Galaxy Watch9 (44 mm LTE) – €489 (+€30)
- Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2 (LTE) – €749 (+€50)
