Lenovo launches 'ultra-thin' MacBook Neo rival with 120Hz display

Lenovo introduced a couple of Wildcat Lake laptops in May 2026, and the Xiaoxin Air 13 is now available to purchase in China. It's powered by the Intel Core 5 320, a mid-range offering in the lineup, and early benchmarks, including one of our own, suggest these new processors have what it takes to come close to the Apple A18 Pro found in the MacBook Neo, if not surpass it.
The company has paired the Wildcat Lake processor with 16GB of RAM, which can be seen as an upgrade over MacBook Neo's 8GB of memory. There's a 512GB SSD, but the good part is that the storage can be easily upgraded (2TB Samsung SSD 9100 Pro curr. $399.99 on Amazon).
A big highlight of the laptop, however, is the thin and light design. Lenovo touts that the Xiaoxin Air 13 weighs 1.1kg (2.42lbs) and measures 14.3mm thin. Such a form factor limits the display size, but the 13.3-inch IPS screen should be more than good enough for on-the-go productivity and entertainment.
Speaking of the screen, it's claimed to have a 100% sRGB coverage, a brightness rating of 400 nits, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Lenovo further highlights the anti-glare screen, which ensures clear and easy-to-view images.
While the laptop is thin, there are a good number of ports. Its port configuration is as follows:
- 2x USB Type-C
- 2x USB Type-A
- 1x 3.5mm audio
- 1x HDMI
- 1x MicroSD card slot
Among the other highlights are a front camera setup with IR face recognition and ToF sensor, a sleek metallic finish, and a 54.7Wh battery. The configuration with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is retailing at CNY 5,888, about $869.
