HP releases new 16-inch laptop globally with 120 Hz VRR display and Arc B390 graphics

HP has bolstered its EliteBook 8 G2 range with a new 16-inch model. To recap, the company refreshed its popular business laptop series in March with half a dozen new options, including the EliteBook 8 G2i 16-inch that can now be purchased globally.
For context, smaller options like the EliteBook 8 G2i 13, EliteBook 8 Flip G2i 13 and EliteBook 8 G2i 14 are already available. In short, HP sells those laptops with lower-end Intel Panther Lake processors, including the Core Ultra 7 355 that we have reviewed in the Dell XPS 14, ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 11 and the Yoga Slim 7 Ultra Aura Edition (curr. $1,949 on Amazon).
At the time of writing, HP also offers the EliteBook 8 G2i 16-inch with slower Panther Lake processors like the Core Ultra 5 322, Core Ultra 5 332 or the Core Ultra 5 325. However, the new 16-inch laptop stretches up to the Core Ultra X7 358H and Core Ultra X7 368H. Complemented by up to 64 GB of RAM, these processors bring Intel's Arc B390 graphics to the table with its 12 Xe3 cores.
The EliteBook 8 G2i 16-inch can be configured with a choice of display panels, too. Currently, these include a 1200p OLED option, a 1200p IPS alternative with 800 nits peak brightness and a 1600p IPS panel with a 120 Hz variable refresh rate. PCIe Gen 5 storage can also be configured, as can 68 Wh or 77Wh batteries. Pricing starts at $2,968 in the US, but £1,799 in the UK and €2,133 in the Eurozone.
