HP releases new 14-inch laptop with Snapdragon X2 processors and 32 GB of RAM

HP has finally released its new EliteBook 6 powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 silicon. To recap, the company announced the EliteBook 6 G2q in March alongside AMD Ryzen AI 400 and Intel Panther Lake alternatives.
In short, the 14-inch laptop serves as a less premium alternative to the EliteBook X G2q that landed earlier this year (curr. $3,026 on Amazon). Nonetheless, the EliteBook 6 G2q has arrived with a hefty price tag in the US. For reference, we cannot currently find the laptop for sale in other markets like the Eurozone or the UK.
Specifically, prices range between $3,540 and $4,639 for pre-configured units. At the time of writing, HP is not offering a fully customisable unit. Setting that aside, the EliteBook 6 G2q starts with the Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100, 32 GB of RAM, a 512 GB SSD and a 1200p IPS display that peaks at a mere 300 nits.
Alternatively, HP sells its new 14-inch laptop with up to the Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-84-100 complemented by 5G cellular connectivity and a 56 Wh battery. However, the same 1200p and 60 Hz IPS panel is present across all seven of the SKUs listed on HP’s website. 120 Hz VRR and OLED panels should eventually be available though, as should brighter options with up to 800 nits peak brightness.
