HP releases new 14-inch laptop globally with 64 GB RAM and 700 nit OLED display

HP has quietly started selling the EliteBook X G2q internationally. Presented in January during CES 2026, the EliteBook X G2q follows in the footsteps of the EliteBook Ultra G1q (curr. $1,649 - used on Amazon) with ARM-based processors rather than x86-based alternatives.

Specifically, HP equips the EliteBook X G2q with Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100, Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-84-100 and Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-90-100 chipsets. At the time of writing, HP prices these as follows across the Eurozone, UK and the US:

Also, HP offers the EliteBook X G2q with over half a dozen panel options. At the low end, the laptop comes with a 1200p OLED panel featuring a 60 Hz refresh rate and 300 nits peak brightness. Alternatively, 800-nit IPS or 700-nit OLED panels are available. For reference, the latter also outputs at 1800p with a 120 Hz VRR refresh rate.

Moreover, the laptop can be configured with 512 GB or 1 TB of PCIe Gen 5 M.2 2280 Storage. On top of that, the EliteBook X G2q supports a mechanical or haptic trackpad, a 56 Wh or 68 Wh battery and an optional Snapdragon X72 5G modem. Please see HP's website for more details.
