HP launches new EliteBook 6 business laptops with AMD and Intel processors

The EliteBook 6 G2 has joined the EliteBook 8 G2 series in adopting new AMD and Intel processors. However, HP has also created Chromebook Plus options featuring Raptor Lake-U processors. Featuring up to the Core 7 250U and 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM, the EliteBook 6 G2i Chromebook Plus only comes in a 14-inch size.
Meanwhile, all AMD and Intel machines can be optioned with 14-inch or 16-inch displays. At the same time, HP has created 'Thin Client' variants for its Intel models but not AMD equivalents like the EliteBook 6 G2ah. Overall, HP has created thirteen EliteBook G2 variants to replace the EliteBook G1 series (curr. $1,199 on Amazon). Specifically, HP mentions the following variants in its press releases:
- EliteBook 6 G2a 14-inch
- EliteBook 6 G2a 16-inch
- EliteBook 6 G2a 14-inch Next Gen AI PC
- EliteBook 6 G2a 16-inch Next Gen AI PC
- EliteBook 6 G2a 14-inch Thin Client
- EliteBook 6 G2a 16-inch Thin Client
- EliteBook 6 G2ah 14-inch
- EliteBook 6 G2ah 16-inch
- EliteBook 6 G2i 14-inch Chromebook Plus
- EliteBook 6 G2i 14-inch
- EliteBook 6 G2i 16-inch
- EliteBook 6 G2i 14-inch Next Gen AI PC
- EliteBook 6 G2i 16-inch Next Gen AI PC
HP has not confirmed pricing for any of its new EliteBook 6 G2 SKUs yet. Instead, it has only committed to releasing them in June 2026. For reference, the company has presented the EliteBook 6 G2q today too, full details of which we have covered separately.
