The Legion Pro 7 has returned with a mid-generation refresh of sorts. Originally launched in early 2025, the Legion Pro 7 16IAX10H suffered from hardly any compromises when we reviewed it a few months later with the Core Ultra 9 275HX and Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPU (curr. $3,199 on Amazon).
The same was true even a year later, when we reappraised the Legion Pro 7 16IAX10H against newer competitors. Nonetheless, Lenovo has updated the Legion Pro 7 with a more powerful processor option. Specifically, it is now selling its 16-inch gaming laptop with the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus, a newer Arrow Lake HX processor that Intel launched in March.
According to our benchmarks, the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus should provide the Legion Pro 7 16IAX10H with around 7% higher processor performance than the Core Ultra 9 275HX model that underpinned our 2025 review unit. This new configuration comes at a particularly high cost, though.
At the time of writing, Lenovo is selling the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus in Europe with a GeForce RTX 5080, 64 GB of RAM, a 1 TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD and a 240 Hz OLED display. While the laptop retails for €4,299 in Italy, it has already dropped from €5,299 to €3,799 in Germany. By contrast, Lenovo charges $5,578 for a similar SKU in the US, albeit with 32 GB of RAM instead of 64 GB. Please see our original Legion Pro 7 review for more details.
