Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced sells over two million copies in 24 hours

The very first Assassin's Creed game was launched on November 13, 2007, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A PC version followed on April 8, 2008. Since its debut 19 years ago, the franchise has grown into one of Ubisoft's flagship series. Some noteworthy titles include:
- Assassin's Creed II (2009)
- Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (2013)
- Assassin's Creed Origins (2017)
- Assassin's Creed Odyssey (2018)
- Assassin's Creed Valhalla (2020)
One of these titles has just been re-released as a remake, namely Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. It has already sold over two million copies in its first 24 hours of market availability, exceeding a previous record set by Assassin's Creed Shadows ($45 for the Nintendo Switch at Amazon). To mark the sales milestone and show appreciation to players, Ubisoft is offering a redemption code that grants a Crimson Storm sail set along with 1,500 Animus Keys for use in the Animus Hub store. Players can redeem the code below on Ubisoft's website:
Whether Ubisoft will continue to develop remakes is highly uncertain due to a recent round of layoffs. 51 employees at Ubisoft Barcelona, one of the studios that worked on the project, are currently facing layoffs despite the game's strong reception.
