Galaxy Z Flip 8 leak hints at another US-Europe performance divide

With Samsung having sent out invites for a Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, the new Galaxy Z foldable smartphones are just a few weeks away. There have already been several leaks revealing the design and key specs of the new phones. However, a recurring topic when it comes to Samsung flagship phones is which processor will power them, and if you are based in Europe, a leak has revealed that info for the 2026 Galaxy Z lineup.
The source of the info is Roland Quandt of Winfuture, however, he has chosen to share the details on Bluesky. According to the post, the European version of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will be powered by the Exynos 2600 processor, the same processor inside the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ sold in Europe.
The Korean version is also expected to have an Exynos 2600 processor while the US version will have a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. As is the norm when a phone launches with different processors in different regions, there will be comparisons. So expect the same for the Galaxy Z Flip 8.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will both have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor which is the same chip inside the Galaxy S26 Ultra (curr. available on Amazon for $1030) in all regions. The processor for the two Galaxy Z Fold 8 models is expected to be the same for all regions.
Ahead of the launch, Samsung has begun accepting reservations for the new phones. Those who sign up will receive bonus offers such as free Samsung store credit and savings when they pre-order and purchase the phone(s).
