Apple iPhone Ultra is reportedly already in production

After Samsung Display began production of foldable OLED panels for the Apple iPhone Ultra in mid-June, production of the entire smartphone is now reportedly underway as well. Cailian Press was able to learn this from sources within Apple’s supply chain. A September shipment is said to be "no problem."
This confirms what other sources have reported: earlier rumors about a delayed launch of the iPhone Ultra were incorrect. Problems with the production of complex components, such as the hinge, are said to have already been resolved. Apple ’s iPhone Ultra is expected to be officially unveiled in mid-September, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the successors to the Apple Watch Series 11 and the Apple Watch Ultra 3 ($699 on Amazon). Apple is reportedly planning to manufacture around 10 million iPhone Ultra units by the end of the year, though production plans may be adjusted if demand turns out to be higher or lower than expected.
The Apple iPhone Fold is rumored to be similar in size to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8. iPhone Ultra is said to feature a 5.5-inch secondary display and a 7.8-inch foldable main display. The foldable flagship smartphone is expected to use the Apple A20 Pro ARM chip, Apple’s in-house C2 5G modem, and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor that will be integrated into the lock button. The device is expected to cost between $2,000 and $2,500 in the U.S.
