Apple iPhone Ultra gets four limited editions before its launch
According to rumors, Apple will launch its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Ultra, as early as September. It is said to feature a significantly wider display than the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max ($1,429 on Amazon), when folded, however, the iPhone Ultra is expected to be more compact than the current top-of-the-line model.
Caviar didn’t want to wait for the iPhone Ultra’s launch and has already announced four limited-edition versions of the foldable iPhone in advance. The info website mentions a titanium body approximately 4.5 millimeters thick, an Apple A20 Pro ARM chip with 12 GB of RAM, a 24 MP under-display selfie camera, and two 48-megapixel rear cameras. These details are likely based on rumors, though the iPhone Ultra is expected to feature a punch-hole camera rather than an under-display camera.
Two of the four limited editions feature a titanium case plated with 24-karat gold. In the 'Gold" version, the Apple logo is even made entirely of 18-karat gold. The back of this version is made of a carbon composite, whereas the other three models feature crocodile leather. Typically, Caviar smartphones are not only more expensive but also offer somewhat limited functionality, as the choice of material for the back panel does not support magnetic MagSafe accessories or wireless charging.
Pricing and availability
The Caviar Apple iPhone Ultra "Flagship" collection is limited to 19 units. The smartphone is now available for pre-order at Caviar’s online store, though prices will only be confirmed upon request. Delivery is expected no earlier than after the iPhone Ultra’s launch in September.
