New leak offers a closer look at the iPhone Ultra's front panel

Tipster Ice Universe has shared images and a hands-on video of what is claimed to be a front screen protector for Apple's rumoured iPhone Ultra, offering an early look at the foldable phone's panel shape ahead of its expected unveiling in mid-September.

The leaked protector has square corners on the side that would sit next to the hinge and rounded corners on the opposite side. Ice Universe said on X that this shape reflects the protector covering the entire glass panel rather than matching the display area itself, and that the actual screen is still expected to have symmetrical rounded corners and uniform bezels on all sides.

The screen protector leak comes a few days after a separate leak from Sonny Dickson, which claimed to show protective covers for the iPhone Ultra's pill-shaped camera module. Those covers appeared in silver and dark blue, which, combined with earlier rumours, suggested Apple may use a two-tone design similar to the iPhone 17 Pro. According to that leak, the camera module has four cutouts, understood to correspond to two cameras, an LED flash and a LiDAR scanner.

Both leaks originate from third-party accessory makers rather than Apple itself, so neither is confirmed to precisely match the final hardware.

The iPhone Ultra is expected to be Apple's first foldable iPhone, with a design rumored to resemble the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and Huawei Pura X Max. Leaks so far point to a 5.5-inch cover display and a 7.8-inch inner display, powered by Apple's upcoming A20 Pro chipset and a 5,000mAh battery. Other rumors point to a 48MP dual-rear camera system, 18MP selfie cameras on both the front and inner displays, and Touch ID support.

Apple has not confirmed any specifications for the iPhone Ultra. The device is expected to be unveiled alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series in mid-September 2026.
