Apple iPhone Ultra: Leak reportedly shows camera module design and two colors

The Apple iPhone Ultra is expected to be officially unveiled in mid-September. Rumors so far have suggested that the foldable flagship smartphone will be available in either white or black. @SonnyDickson has now published photos of two protective covers for the pill-shaped camera module, which are said to reveal the two color options in advance.

The covers come in either silver or dark blue. Combined with earlier rumors, this suggests that Apple is opting for a two-tone design, as it did with the iPhone 17 Pro ($1,199 on Amazon), combining silver metal with white glass in one variant. The dark blue variant, on the other hand, is so dark that it’s likely to be barely distinguishable from black from a distance. According to this leak, the camera module has a total of four cutouts – presumably two for cameras, one for the LED flash, and one for the LiDAR scanner. 

Since these protective covers are third-party accessories, it remains to be seen whether the color shades are actually identical to those of the Apple iPhone Ultra. So far, however, all rumors suggest that the iPhone Ultra won’t be particularly colorful. Those who want a more colorful smartphone will have to opt for the iPhone 18 Pro or the iPhone 18 Pro Max instead, as the next-generation Pro models are expected to be available in light blue and dark red, among other colors. The final design of the next-generation iPhones should be unveiled by the time of the launch in September at the latest.
