Apple iPhone 18 Pro appears on preview website, Caviar unveils five limited editions
The Apple iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to be officially unveiled in mid-September, along with the iPhone Ultra. Caviar has already published a preview website designed to showcase the new features of the next-generation flagship smartphones. Typically, Caviar relies solely on rumors for such previews, so this information should still be taken with a grain of salt.
Nevertheless, the page offers an overview of the expected new features, ranging from the new light blue and dark red color options to the smaller Dynamic Island and larger batteries. The preview page also highlights what are arguably the two most exciting hardware upgrades – the faster Apple A20 Pro ARM chip, which is reportedly being manufactured by TSMC with a 2-nm process, and the main camera with a variable aperture, which allows users to capture photos with greater depth of field. This ensures, for example, that even people in the background are in focus in group photos.
Caviar also picks up on an older rumor suggesting that the iPhone 18 Pro’s camera shutter button will be redesigned to be exclusively touch-sensitive, recognizing only pressure and no longer supporting gestures. These rumors have not been substantiated over the past few months and should therefore be viewed with skepticism. Caviar also took this opportunity to unveil five limited editions of the iPhone 18 Pro (Max).
Depending on the variant and storage capacity, these range in price from $10,060 to $12,770. Each of the five variants is limited to 18 units. Depending on the variant, the limited editions are covered in python or crocodile leather and either plated with 24-karat gold or finished with a black PVD coating. As is usually the case, these material modifications mean that neither Qi2 magnetic accessories nor wireless charging are likely to work. The limited editions are now available for pre-order in Caviar’s online store.
