Xiaomi launches Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 5 Pro Foam Edition with active foam and steam cleaning

Xiaomi continues to expand its lineup of smart home appliances with a new all-in-one floor cleaning system. The Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 5 Pro Foam Edition is a cordless wet-dry vacuum that vacuums and mops simultaneously. Unlike hybrid robot vacuums that vacuum before mopping, this handheld unit performs both actions at once. Designed specifically for hard surfaces such as tile, wood, or linoleum, the scrubber is not intended for carpets. As the name implies, the device features a rotating mop roller and actively generates cleaning foam to break down stubborn grime. Steam cleaning capability is also integrated into the system.

According to Xiaomi, the mop roller is engineered to handle hair without immediate clogging. Typical for wet-dry vacuums, the unit scrubs surfaces while concurrently extracting dirty water. Ideally, this leaves minimal moisture behind, allowing floors to be walked on almost immediately while reducing the risk of water spots and moisture damage. Xiaomi claims a suction rating of 26,000 Pa for the vacuum system. To maintain hygiene, the docking station supports a self-cleaning cycle that washes the mop roller with 100°C water to prevent dirt distribution, followed by hot-air drying at 80°C to inhibit bacteria and odors.

The Mijia Wireless Floor Scrubber 5 Pro Foam Edition is currently listed on Xiaomi YouPin for approximately $326 (RMB equivalent). Official details regarding an international rollout remain unavailable, though Xiaomi frequently releases similar appliances globally under its broader ecosystem portfolio.
