Global Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro Max leak reveals chipset before launch

Xiaomi is expected to introduce the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max in global markets as the top-of-the-line model in the Redmi Note 17 series. Although the company has yet to announce the smartphone, its global variant has now appeared on Geekbench 7.
The tested device carries model number "2609FRA74G". For context, the same model number was previously linked to the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max in Thailand’s NBTC certification. The "G" suffix suggests that the phone is intended for global markets.
The Geekbench listing points to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, an octa-core chipset with an Adreno 812 GPU. The 4nm chipset was introduced in May 2026 and also powers the Honor X80 Pro Max (curr. $396.77 on TradingShenzhen).
The listing further reveals that the tested device features 8GB of RAM and runs Android 16. It achieved 924 points in the single-core CPU test and 2,923 points in the multi-core CPU test.
