Xiaomi confirms 200MP camera and Bose-tuned speakers for upcoming phone

Xiaomi has revealed more information about the Redmi K100 Pro Max. It is set to launch on 11 August 2026 in China as the successor to the Redmi K90 Pro Max.

The K100 Pro Max is confirmed to feature a 200MP main camera, a 5x periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 17mm-equivalent focal length. Additionally, the telephoto camera supports 100x digital zoom. Xiaomi has also provided sample shots at focal lengths of 17mm, 24mm, 48mm, 120mm, and 240mm.

Notably, the Redmi K100 Pro Max will also feature a 2.1-channel speaker system. The Bose-tuned audio system will include dual 1115D full-range drivers and a large dedicated 1620 subwoofer.

Previously, the company confirmed a 6.9-inch OLED panel with a 185Hz refresh rate for the K100 Pro Max. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and feature a 9,070mAh battery. For comparison, the previous-generation Redmi K90 Pro Max packed a 7,560mAh battery. It will be launched alongside the more affordable Redmi K100 Pro.

Currently, there is no official word on whether the Redmi K100 Pro Max will receive a global launch. However, it is expected to launch internationally as a Poco-branded device, since the Redmi K90 Pro Max was also rebranded for global markets as the Poco F8 Ultra (curr. $839.99 on Amazon).
