Xiaomi has launched two new 20,000mAh power banks in its home market. Designed with stronger safeguards against fires and explosions, one supports 45W charging and the other 67W, while both feature built-in cables.

Xiaomi has been rolling out a new generation of power banks designed to meet China's latest safety standard for portable chargers. It started with the 10,000mAh Pocket Power Bank with Built-in Cable (2026) in June, before adding a larger 20,000mAh model. While neither has launched globally yet, Xiaomi has already expanded the lineup with two more models in its home market.

The two newcomers are the Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 67W with Built-in Cable and the Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 45W with Built-in Cable. As their names suggest, the biggest upgrade here is the charging speed. Compared with the earlier 20,000mAh model, Xiaomi has increased the peak output from 22.5W to 67W and 45W. That should mean faster top-ups for phones and tablets, with enough power to charge laptops as well.

For the most part, the two power banks offer the same features. Both include an integrated USB-C cable that doubles as a lanyard, alongside USB-C and USB-A ports for charging up to three devices at once. The 67W model adds a smart display showing the remaining capacity, while the 45W version uses four status LEDs. Even so, both support battery health monitoring through a web app on a PC or laptop.

For context, China's 2026 national standard requires portable power banks to pass stricter safety tests, including needle-penetration testing. This should make the new models more resistant to overheating and less likely to catch fire or explode, even under demanding conditions.

Both power banks are now available in China. The 67W model costs 599 yuan (about $89), while the 45W version is priced at 499 yuan (~$74). Xiaomi has not said when either model will launch internationally.
