Xiaomi adds USB-C cable to 10,000 mAh UltraThin magnetic power bank

Xiaomi is adding a convenience feature to its popular thin line of power banks that allow magnetic charging. The 10,000 mAh model is getting a permanently attached USB-C cable, sitting alongside the power bank's existing USB-C port, similar to the Baseus portable charger that is discounted to $20 on Amazon.

Both can be used independently, and each is rated for up to 30W input and 45W output. Everything else that made the current WPB1025S model worth recommending, such as 10,000 mAh of rated capacity, 45W wired fast charging, and magnetic wireless charging across four power steps of 5W, 7.5W, 15W and 20W, appears to carry over unchanged. Users can run wired and wireless charging at the same time, and combined output caps out at 15W.
Safety features
The other interesting detail in the certification filing is that Xiaomi says the new power bank is built to meet GB 47372-2026, China's newly introduced national standard that governs battery cell safety in portable power banks. That means testing against nail penetration, overcharging, crushing, thermal abuse, and lithium plating from repeated charge cycles.
The standard was introduced in response to a string of incidents that forced the government to introduce drastic measures when flying with power banks, as anyone with a connecting flight through Beijing could attest. It subsequently pushed regulators to tighten the rules this year, and Xiaomi's own communications subsidiary was reportedly involved in drafting the standard, so compliance here isn't a surprise.
As with the current model, the new power bank is expected to support health monitoring over USB-C, letting owners check battery wear, cycle count, and any fault data straight from a connected PC.
There’s no word yet on pricing, release date, or whether Xiaomi will sell this alongside the 399 yuan ($59) WPB1025S or replace it outright. Given how quickly Xiaomi has been cycling through 3C filings for its power bank range this year (the cable-less version was just introduced in May), an official pricing shouldn't be far off.
