Genki has launched its first controller. The Manta is a high-performance pro controller that brings customizability through a touchscreen display, adjustable triggers, an 8K polling rate, and TMR joysticks.

Gaming accessory maker Genki is entering the controller space with its Manta, a pro controller with a 2.79-inch color display. The controller is live on Kickstarter, and Genki says they’ve designed every part of the controller to work as one integrated system rather than focusing on individual upgrades.

What sets the Manta apart from the competition is the Raspberry Pi RP2350-powered MantaOS that can be interfaced using the 2.79-inch color display. The screen allows functions like switching profiles, adjusting stick response, dead zone adjustment, remapping buttons, changing trigger behaviour, vibration adjustment, and more. The Manta uses Maglev HD rumble for improved force feedback. TMR joysticks are now common in gaming controllers, and the Manta has them as well.

The controller promises 8K polling in wired mode and 1K polling with 2.4 GHz. There is also Bluetooth connectivity for a total of three connectivity options. The Hall effect triggers have three stages: Digital, Rapid, and Analog. Digital is meant for instant clicks, while Rapid allows for the fastest repeated inputs. Analog is the traditional full range of motion. There is a dedicated button to record macros, as well as one for switching to keyboard and mouse input. All this is backed by a 2,600 mAh battery, and that puts the controller at 280 g to 290 g.

Along with the standard button layout, the Manta features six extra mappable buttons. The two paddles on the back are swappable, so in case you don’t like them, simply take them out. The Manta supports PC, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and mobile platforms.
