Last month, Asus announced the Raikiri 2 Pro PC controller, but at the time, it was only announced for the Chinese market. Now, it has started to appear in European markets, revealing the price tag and suggesting a global release.
The Raikiri 2 Pro PC comes with a full-color display that replaces the monochrome OLED display of the Raikiri Pro from three years ago. Asus already has a Raikiri 2 Xbox available on the market (buy on Amazon), but the Pro variant is PC only and ups the polling rate to 8,000 Hz (8K) in both wired and wireless 2.4 GHz mode. This makes it one of the few controllers on the market that can achieve 8K polling on 2.4 GHz.
Other upgrades include the row of five backlit buttons below the D-pad. The TMR joy-sticks are now hot-swappable. The Raikiri 2 Pro PC has a claimed battery life of up to 79 hours at 2.4 GHz at a 1,000 Hz polling rate.
Asus ROG Raikiri 2 Pro PC controller price and availability
As mentioned earlier, the ROG Raikiri 2 Pro PC is now available in select markets, including Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and is priced at EUR 220 (around $255 USD). It is available in black and white. At the time of publishing, Amazon US has the controller listed for $274, but it is tagged as a German import. Native US listings should appear soon enough.
