Abxylute M5 magnetic mobile controller makes first appearance alongside specs of the M6

A few weeks ago, Abxylute announced that it has two new magnetic controllers for smartphones in development. However, that announcement only revealed what one of the controllers look like, with the other controller hidden behind a veil. Abyxlute has now shared new images that show both controllers.

The new controllers will launch as the M5 and M6, and as stated above, they will attach to a smartphone via magnets. According to Abxylute, the M5 will have an ultra slim design, and this is evident from the new images that show both controllers side by side.

The M5 has rounded corners and its button layout is reminiscent of the PSP Go. The controller has its segmented D-pad and ABXY buttons in recessed circles and in between them is a larger pill-shaped recess that is home to two sunken thumbsticks and two buttons. The controller also has four other buttons, including a home button and an ABXY button that lights up. No technical details have been provided.

The M6, on the other hand, has angled corners at the top. It has a cross-shaped D-pad, protruding thumbsticks, and its ABXY buttons have a diamond-shaped outline. With respect to features, Abxylute says it has Hall Effect linear triggers, tactile shoulder buttons, dual capacitive joysticks, and a dedicated macro button.

The Abxylute M6 controller also has a 6-axis gyroscope, integrated RGB light, Bluetooth 5.3, vibration motors, and a 500mAh battery. The M6 will also have a detachable magnetic grip for better ergonomics and a handheld-like experience. However, it is not known if this grip will be included with the controller or sold as a separate accessory.

Abxylute has confirmed that both controllers will be launched on Kickstarter, just the Abxylute M4 (available on Amazon for $49.99), but the exact date hasn't been revealed.
