GTA 6: Will Cyberleek fade into irrelevance or is this just the beginning?

For days, Cyberleek has been feeding the community alleged gameplay footage from GTA 6. Among other things, the clips have shown Jason playing basketball, police chases and a trip to the beach. Since Rockstar has yet to show any official gameplay, even blurry footage from an unfinished build has attracted plenty of attention. But that could be about to change. After all, Rockstar is finally showing the announced Extended Look on Netflix today, August 27 – and the Reddit community is already discussing whether Cyberleek could lose his biggest advantage as a result. Not everyone is convinced, however.

Thread creator u/arnaudbrabus75 believes Cyberleek will quickly fade into meme status after the Extended Look. Once “High-bitrate, polished 4K gameplay” is available, only a few players will still care about rough debug footage, according to the Reddit user. However, that view is facing plenty of pushback from the community. “You thinking they gonna squeeze the whole game into a 30 minute ‘reveal’? Hardly,” u/Rich-Additional points out.

Some Redditors fear that the Extended Look could be heavily staged and only show a carefully selected portion of the game. In that case, Cyberleek could remain relevant by providing unfiltered gameplay. u/Jibberroni even believes the Netflix presentation could increase interest in further leaks: If Rockstar merely hints at certain features, Cyberleek could subsequently provide footage showing them in action and attract even more attention as a result.

Concern over story spoilers

The community is also concerned that Cyberleek could shift toward story and mission spoilers after the Extended Look. For many, however, that would cross a line. “Once he starts going into spoiler territory, people will very quickly lose interest in him,” writes u/ConfusedIAm95.

The Extended Look at GTA 6 (available for pre-order on Amazon) starts on Netflix at 3 PM EDT. Six hours later, the presentation will also be released for free on YouTube and the official website. It will then become clear whether Rockstar can actually take the wind out of the leaks' sails by showing extensive gameplay footage – or whether Cyberleek will still have enough material left for further revelations.
