It’s been over a week since the first GTA 6 leaked footage was shared by the hacker group CyberLeek. The group has been promoting its crypto coin through the leaks, but it now looks like people are not interested anymore.

With GTA 6’s Netflix extended look just a few hours away, the hacker group CyberLeek seems to be losing its leverage. The cryptocurrency that the group has been pushing through the leaks has been dropping rapidly, and the X user who has been tracking the decline believes there’s no coming back.

KINGJulien has been sharing updates on X showing the declining market cap of the crypto coin that CyberLeek has been peddling. Yesterday morning (August 26), the user reported that its market cap had fallen to $12.1 million. Shortly after, another update showed that it had dropped to $9 million with more people selling than buying. As of this morning (August 27, 10:27 am ET), the coin dropped to a $4.1 million market cap, with a commenter reporting an even lower value just minutes after.

One reason could be the upcoming Netflix extended look, scheduled for today (August 27) at 3 pm ET. With Rockstar showing off the game officially, CyberLeek’s unofficial videos would not hold as much value. That is, until they decide to do something drastic and leak a pivotal moment of the game, like the ending. The group could get desperate and share more spoilers beyond the most recent Lucia prologue leak.

KINGJulian does point out that it’s hard to track what the group has already capitalized on through wallets. CyberLeek claims that they’re collecting funds to build infrastructure to support future leaks, as well as fight the counterattack from corporations like Rockstar. Meanwhile, Take-Two is trying to identify the hackers by issuing subpoenas against Microsoft, Discord, and X. It was also recently reported that some of the leaks appeared on Discord before spreading like wildfire, which could be a clue for Take-Two.
