Xiaomi Poco X8 Power shown in teaser video with 10,000 mAh battery, days before launch

After a recent leak revealed many details about the Poco X8 Power 5G, Xiaomi is now officially unveiling the mid-range smartphone for the first time in the teaser video embedded below. The video confirms that the Poco X8 Power 5G will be officially unveiled on Friday, September 4, and will first launch in India.
Xiaomi has opted for a yellow back panel with a square camera module and a massive 10,000 mAh battery, which, according to Xiaomi’s marketing, is said to enable up to 3.5 days of battery life. Rumors suggest this battery can be charged via USB-C at up to 100 watts, while the Poco X8 Power 5G can also be used as a power bank to charge other devices at up to 27 watts. Xiaomi is touting a battery lifespan of six years.
The Poco X8 Power 5G features a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 32 MP selfie camera. With a 6.83-inch display, the Poco X8 Power 5G is larger than the Poco X8 Pro ($374 on Amazon), and Xiaomi advertises a peak HDR brightness of 3,500 nits.
The display is protected from scratches by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The body is certified to IP68 and IP69K standards, making it waterproof and dustproof. In typical Poco fashion, the Poco X8 Power 5G will receive four major Android updates and six years of security patches. All remaining details regarding the device’s specifications should be confirmed no later than the launch event on September 4.
