Meizu Pandaer's new 80W GaN charger packs three ports into a 99g, card-sized body

Meizu's Pandaer brand has launched the PTC16, an 80W GaN charger with three USB-C ports, priced at 229 yuan (about $32) on Tmall. Platform vouchers currently reduce the price to 149 yuan (about $21).

The PTC16 measures 85.5 x 50 x 13.9 mm and weighs 99 g. It is built around what Pandaer describes as a smartphone-like, three-layer internal structure. The company markets the design as an "Air" stacking technique that keeps the charger thin and light.

Power delivery varies depending on how many ports are active. With a single port in use, the primary USB-C port outputs up to 80W using Meizu's mCharge protocol or up to 65W via PD3.0/PPS for other devices; the two remaining ports each individually support up to 65W. With two ports active, output is split into 45W and 20W or 45W and 15W, depending on the combination. With all three ports active, the primary port is capped at 45W, while the two secondary ports each provide up to 15W.

The charger supports mCharge, PD3.0, PPS, AVS, FCP, SCP, and QC4+. AC input is rated at 200 to 240V, 50/60Hz, and up to 1.8A. The PTC16 is available now through Pandaer's official Tmall store.
