Analyst reveals early details of iPhone Ultra 3 - a whopping two years before launch

After years of wait, the dream of a foldable iPhone is now just a month away. Courtesy of the rumor mill, we already know a great deal about what Apple may have in store for what is likely to be its most important product in several years.

For instance, we know that the device, likely named the iPhone Ultra, will boast a 5.5-inch outer display and a roughly 7.8-inch inner display with a 4:3 aspect ratio. Courtesy of the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 8 (currently $1,899 on Amazon) with similar dimensions, we already know what the iPhone Fold (Ultra) will feel like.

However, the rumor mill never rests. Thanks to Mark Gurman, rumors regarding not the second, but the third-generation iPhone Ultra are already seeping in. 

According to the renowned analyst, the third-generation foldable iPhone will feature larger displays on the outside as well as inside. He did not mention any such thing about the second-generation product, which is expected next year. Needless to say, no specific measurements have been revealed yet. 

Of course, with over two years to go, Apple's plans are definitely subject to change. A 5.5-inch compact smartphone is a dream for many, and there is no doubt that a foldable iPhone with an expansive inner screen, however expensive, is an ideal choice for a large portion of people. Just how much larger the iPhone Ultra gets over its lifetime, remains to be seen.
