Apple Watch Series 12 rumored to get unexpected upgrade

According to earlier rumors, the Apple Watch Series 12 will receive only modest upgrades. This is because a completely new design and a more energy-efficient HMO-OLED panel are reportedly planned for the Apple Watch Series 13 in 2027, and Apple’s long-awaited blood glucose sensor apparently isn’t ready for the market yet.
Since the Apple Watch Series 11 ($329 on Amazon) uses a processor that is technically identical to the chip in the Apple Watch Series 9 and Series 10, the Apple Watch could receive an updated chip for the first time in three years. According to the latest information from @Kosutami_Ito, who has accurately revealed details about Apple’s plans in advance on several occasions in the past, Apple is planning at least one exciting new feature for the Apple Watch Series 12.
The smartwatch is said to feature a wristband with integrated sensors. This sensor wristband is expected to be offered exclusively in a silicone version, at least initially, since Apple has not yet succeeded in integrating the sensors into a fabric or leather wristband. It is still unclear which sensors this wristband will contain.
As MacRumors reports, Apple has already patented several smart wristbands. These include a metal link bracelet whose links house various sensors, a wristband that automatically adjusts its fit, and a wristband that can determine hydration levels based on the electrolyte concentration in sweat. It’s also possible that Apple is simply incorporating additional heart rate and SpO2 sensors to collect more accurate data. As usual, such rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, as no other source has reported on a sensor-equipped wristband so far.
