Deal | Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 49-inch gaming monitor with 240 Hz refresh rate is $700 off for July 4th sale

Independence Day is upon us, and that means tech deals for those looking to build or upgrade their setup. If you are looking for a premium super-ultrawide OLED gaming monitor, check out the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9, a 49-inch behemoth that brings fast response times and a resolution that doesn't immediately tank your GPU.
Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 (G93SD) features
This 49-inch OLED gaming monitor has 5,120x1,440 resolution, which means it’s not a true 5K2K monitor, but close to it. The lower total pixel count compared to a 5,120x 2,160 monitor will help with somewhat higher frame rates in games. The Odyssey OLED G9 features a 240 Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, G-Sync compatibility, a Glare Free coating on the display, and a set of algorithms for OLED burn-in prevention.
Along with its futuristic aesthetic, there is an RGB ring at the back that uses Samsung’s CoreSync and Core Lighting+ to project a game’s on-screen colors on the wall behind. There is also HDR 10+ Gaming support and DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification. For connectivity, the Odyssey OLED G9 comes with a DisplayPort 1.4 port, one HDMI 2.1 port, and three USB ports, two of which are USB Type-C 3.2.
