Compact Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro apparently won't get Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 across the board

Anyone who has been looking forward to the first Pro model in the Galaxy S family will likely have to get used to an Exynos chip, at least in Europe and many other parts of the world. According to a report by the South Korean industry publication Money Today, Samsung plans to increase the use of Exynos chips in the successors to the Galaxy S26 series. In addition to the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+, the Galaxy S27 Pro is also expected to feature the Samsung chip—presumably named Exynos 2700—in many regions around the world.
Specifically, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 is only expected to be used in North America (the U.S., Canada, and Mexico), while all other regions such as Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America are likely to get the next Exynos chip, which has not yet been officially unveiled. Many Samsung fans have traditionally been very critical towards the Exynos series, even though Samsung has made significant improvements to the performance and efficiency of its ARM chips in recent years.
It is currently expected that the Exynos 2700 will be manufactured using the second-generation 2nm process (SF2P) and feature an optimized Heat Path Block (HPB) design by placing the APU and DRAM side by side rather than on top of each other, which should allow for better heat dissipation. The report is based on statements from industry insiders; Samsung has not yet confirmed the information, of course. According to further rumors, the Galaxy S27 Pro is also expected to offer the Privacy Display feature found on the Galaxy S26 Ultra (available here on Amazon US).
