Official OnePlus blog posts now confirm it will end new product launches in Europe and North America, reaffirming continued investment in India and detailing a voluntary shift from OxygenOS to ColorOS for eligible existing devices.

OnePlus has officially confirmed it will end new product launches in Europe and North America via a post on the OnePlus Community forum. The announcement follows weeks of reports pointing to a broader restructuring at parent company Oppo, and a last-second confirmation.

India business unaffected

An FAQ accompanying the announcement confirms India operations continue as usual, with no changes to local business there. In a separate post, OnePlus India Business Vice President Ford points to four new product launches in recent months, a strong customer response to the new N series, and sales performance during Amazon Prime Day as evidence of continued investment. He also confirms the upcoming OnePlus N6x and an expanded after-sales network of more than 600 service centers across India with the help of Oppo.

The N6x, teased on Amazon India shortly after the OnePlus N6 launched on June 30, has not had official specifications confirmed. X based tipster Aryan Gupta claims the N6x will support 5G, while other future entries in the N6 series are expected to be 4G-only.

Software support

OnePlus confirms that following the official release of ColorOS 17, users globally with eligible existing devices can voluntarily update from OxygenOS to ColorOS. According to the FAQ, users who switch will have the option to roll back to OxygenOS, though specific rollback versions are subject to future announcement. Legacy models outside the eligible upgrade scope continue receiving standard software maintenance instead. OnePlus states the shift consolidates software development and R&D resources with Oppo, with the stated goals of faster update delivery, improved software quality, and better use of shared engineering resources.

As reported hours ago, OnePlus has already confirmed the exit from Europe and the U.S. to The Verge and Android Authority, following earlier reporting on the anticipated withdrawal ahead of official confirmation.
