OnePlus confirms new phone amid reported global market exit

There have been multiple rumors that OnePlus may withdraw from key global markets, including Europe and the US. Now, a new report from Bloomberg has suggested that the brand may also exit India sometime in 2027 and focus solely on the Chinese market.
However, the company currently remains active in India, having recently launched the new N series aimed at the budget segment. The OnePlus N6 was launched in June 2026, and now a new smartphone in the series is confirmed to arrive soon.
A microsite on Amazon India has revealed that the new model will be called the OnePlus N6x, without providing any specifications or launch details.
For context, the OnePlus N6 comes with a 6.8-inch IPS LCD panel offering a resolution of 720 x 1,570 pixels. It features a Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset, a 50MP main camera, and an 8,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The smartphone starts at Rs 22,999 (~$238) for the base variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Separately, a recent leak has revealed key camera upgrades of the OnePlus 16, expected to launch in Q4 2026 in China.
