iQoo 16: Key details of next-gen flagship phone leaked

The iQoo 16 is expected to be released as the company's next flagship smartphone in Q4 2026. The smartphone will succeed the iQoo 15, which launched in October 2025 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

Ahead of any official details, a new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed key details about the upcoming smartphone. The source suggests that the iQoo 16 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, which is rumored to use a 2nm process node and support LPDDR6 memory. However, the device reportedly lacks an active cooling fan.

The phone is said to feature a 50MP OmniVision OV50Q main camera sensor with a 1/1.3-inch optical format. For comparison, the iQoo 15 used the 50MP Sony IM921 main sensor with a smaller 1/1.56-inch optical format. Notably, the iQoo 16 is also tipped to feature a battery capacity of around 8,500mAh (10K Anker powerbank curr. $25.99 on Amazon).

The leak also points to symmetrical dual speakers and a AAC 0916-series X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback. Other tipped features include an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, a USB Type-C 3.2 port, and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance.
