iQoo 16T: Leak reveals early details of next-gen smartphone

The iQoo 15T launched as a performance-focused smartphone in May 2026. Now, a new leak has surfaced online, revealing early details of the next-generation iQoo 16T.
Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that the iQoo 16T is currently being tested with the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 (SM8950), which is expected to be a 2nm chipset with an Adreno 845 GPU and support for LPDDR5X RAM. However, the company is also said to be evaluating the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 as an alternative. The iQoo 16T is also tipped to feature a built-in cooling fan, which iQoo currently offers only in the iQoo 15 Ultra (curr. $831.27 on TradingShenzhen).
For comparison, the standard iQoo 16 is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro (SM8975) chipset, which is tipped to support LPDDR6 RAM and feature an Adreno 850 GPU. Meanwhile, the iQoo 16 will reportedly lack a built-in cooling fan.
The new leak also suggests that the iQoo 16T may feature a flat Samsung display with a “2K” resolution. The company is expected to launch the standard iQoo 16 and a new compact tablet in Q4 2026, though the iQoo 16T's launch timeline remains unclear.
