OnePlus teases upcoming phone and documentary addressing shutdown rumors in India

In June 2026, OnePlus introduced the new N series in India. The series currently includes the OnePlus N6, a budget-oriented smartphone. The device comes with a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display, a Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset, and an 8,000mAh battery. It is priced at INR 22,999, roughly translating to $238.

Previously, an Amazon microsite revealed that a new model, the OnePlus N6x, is in the works and is "coming soon" in India. Now, OnePlus has posted another teaser for the OnePlus N6x on its official X account. The teaser suggests the device may come in light blue and maroon color options. However, specifications and availability details are still scarce.

Separately, OnePlus India has teased a documentary addressing the recent shutdown reports. For context, OnePlus officially confirmed that it will withdraw from the North American and European markets. However, a Bloomberg report previously suggested that OnePlus may subsequently exit India as well and focus only on the Chinese market.

OnePlus India has already stated that it will continue operating normally in the country, and the documentary teaser reinforces that stance. However, it remains to be seen whether OnePlus will launch flagship devices in India or only budget models, as a recent leak suggested that the next-generation OnePlus 16 may skip the Indian market.
