Samsung releases One UI 9.0 beta 4 for the Galaxy S26 series

Samsung is edging closer to a public release of One UI 9 for its Galaxy S26 lineup. The first stable firmware build has been discovered on the company's servers, suggesting that development is progressing. However, the appearance of a stable build does not necessarily mean an immediate rollout, as Samsung often spends several weeks refining software before making it widely available. The company has already issued multiple beta versions as it continues testing the Android 17-based update.
The latest beta release, One UI 9 Beta 4 (S948BXXU4ZZG4, approx. 1.25GB), focuses mainly on improving stability rather than introducing major new features. Fixes include an abnormally sized lock screen clock, navigation bars disappearing during gaming, cut-off timer notifications, and routine actions failing to work correctly. It also includes the July 2026 security patch. Beta users in Germany, India, South Korea, Poland, the UK and the US are expected to receive the update.
Samsung states that One UI 9 itself provides a more personalized experience with enhanced creativity, accessibility and security. New additions include expanded Samsung Notes tools, improved Quick Panel customization, accessibility upgrades such as Text Spotlight, and stronger safeguards against potentially harmful apps. Once complete, One UI 9 is expected to debut on upcoming Galaxy flagship devices before expanding to eligible existing smartphones.
