Galaxy S27 Ultra leak reveals first rear camera design details

Following a leak that has tempered expectations for the specs of the Galaxy S27 Pro, a new leak suggests that the rumored Galaxy S27 Ultra design may also not be changing as dramatically as previously thought. Earlier leaks suggested the flagship would abandon Samsung’s signature floating camera rings in favor of a horizontal camera bar stretching across the rear panel.
According to the latest leak from reliable tipster Lanzuk, Samsung is still evaluating multiple design concepts for the Galaxy S27 Ultra, but none of the current candidates reportedly feature the minimalist horizontal camera layout that has stirred up excitement in recent weeks. This aligns with reports suggesting the company is continuing to refine the phone’s appearance internally, making it too early to conclude that a major visual overhaul is locked in. While Samsung is exploring alternative camera arrangements, the final production model could remain much closer to the existing Ultra design language than initially expected. That said, the S26 Ultra is currently discounted by 17% at Amazon for $1,250.
The conflicting reports highlight the uncertainty surrounding early smartphone leaks, especially for devices still deep in development. Although Samsung is expected to introduce meaningful camera upgrades with the Galaxy S27 Ultra, its exterior design remains far from confirmed. Until more reliable information emerges, the rumored horizontal camera bar should be viewed as one of several possible concepts rather than a definitive look at Samsung’s next flagship.
