Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike 2 upgrades tipped, launching in just a couple months

Logitech launched the G Pro X2 Superstrike in September last year and it looks like a successor is on the way. The gaming mouse that ditches the traditional switches for a Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS) made waves in the gaming community with its ambitious claims, and Logitech seems to have found a way to improve on those.
The information comes from @jakeufps on X who cites a “highly trusted leaker” from the Pericord Discord. The post states the G Pro X2 Superstrike 2, or whatever it ends up being called, will come with an upgraded main-controller, as well as further tweaks to HITS. For those unaware, this is the inductive system that registers inputs based on how far the left and right clicks have been pressed. There is no actual click, but the haptics make it feel like there is. This allows for adjustable actuation and reset points with up to 30 ms reduced click latency. The sensor, however, is not part of the upgraded components.
As for what else will be changed on the Superstrike 2, @jakeufps hopes for a full overhaul since Logitech has been using the same shape and overall design for its premium mice for many years. However, the leaker is more confident that there won’t be any other change to the Superstrike 2 other than the aforementioned tweaks.
Lastly, @jakeufps says the new mouse will be announced at Logitech G Play in September but an exact date hasn't been shared. The G Pro X2 Superstrike launched at $180 putting it in the premium gaming mouse territory. The same can be expected from the successor, if not an even higher price tag.
