Logitech unveils Spotlight 2 with laser and haptic feedback

For those who regularly need to give presentations via PowerPoint and the like, Logitech now offers Spotlight 2, a new remote control with some interesting features. Compared to the first-generation Spotlight from 2017, the new model has a much more modern, more rounded aluminum housing.
The large button at the top is pressure-sensitive. This allows Logitech to digitally highlight content when the button is pressed more firmly, for example by enlarging it with a round magnifying glass or displaying it brighter than the rest of the screen. A vibration motor provides haptic feedback, so there is no need to look at the screen to get confirmation that the button has been pressed.
Alternatively, elements can also be pointed at in the old-fashioned way using a laser pointer. A programmable action button on the side of the housing makes it possible, for example, to mute the connected computer or show a blank display. Logitech Spotlight 2 can be connected to a PC via Bluetooth using the USB dongle supplied, and Logitech claims a wireless range of 30 meters. The battery is said to last for three months; according to Logitech, just one minute on the USB-C cable provides enough power for a three-hour presentation.
Pricing and availability
Logitech Spotlight 2 is available immediately for $129.99, either in the Logitech online store or on Amazon. The presenter is available in purple, beige, dark gray and black. A Logi Bolt USB dongle is included.
