Ultrahuman M2 Live aims to make glucose tracking more affordable, even without subscriptions

Ultrahuman has been offering a glucose sensor since 2021, and it now has a successor. The Ultrahuman M2 Live offers essentially the same functionality, but the Abbott Lingo Sensor is slightly more compact – and, above all, significantly less expensive. A package of two sensors now costs $99 with a subscription.
The Ultrahuman M2 Live tracks glucose around the clock and can display this data in the Ultrahuman app alongside data collected by the Ultrahuman Ring Air. The glucose sensor is marketed as a wellness product and, according to Ultrahuman, is not suitable for people who require insulin. One sensor can be used for 14 days before it needs to be replaced.
Among other things, the smartphone app can analyze how different foods affect glucose levels and assign a score from 1 to 10 to a meal. The so-called “Fuelling Score” indicates how well the current glucose level is suited for workouts. The app can also flag irregularities and provide tips on how to achieve more stable glucose levels; to this end, Ultrahuman offers, among other things, an AI chatbot.
Pricing and Availability
Ultrahuman M2 Live will first be launched in the U.S. A subscription that provides customers with two sensors per month costs $99. Those who prefer not to subscribe can also purchase the sensors individually. A two-pack costs $129, and a year’s supply of 26 sensors is available for $1,229.
