Asus launches Logitech MX Master 4 rival with swappable switches and long battery life

Asus introduced a new Logitech MX Master 4 rival at CES 2026, the ProArt Mouse MD301. The brand recently gave a second look at the wireless mouse, and now, it's available to purchase in China.
With the launch promo applied, the ProArt MD301 is currently available to purchase at CNY 599, around $86.8. This is affordable than what the MX Master 4 typically goes for in the Chinese market, which is CNY 899, about $130 ($120 on Amazon), and compared to Logitech's latest productivity mouse, Asus' option is lighter.
As mentioned in the spec sheet, the ProArt MD301 weighs 99.7 grams, while the Logitech MX Master 4 is 150 grams. This lightweight design, combined with the ergonomic profile, is said to allow the wireless mouse to fit naturally in the hands and offer a comfortable grip.
While the new wireless mouse from Asus is lighter, it has a larger battery inside. More specifically, it packs an 800 mAh battery, which promises up to 180 days of runtime. The MX Master 4, in comparison, has a 650 mAh battery, with a max rated runtime of 70 days.
Another notable highlight of the ProArt MD301 is that it has swappable switches. The Push-Fit sockets of the ProArt Mouse MD301 have support for both micro and optical switches. Asus says that the included switches are rated for up to 80 million clicks. The company doesn't specify the name of the sensor that's inside, but promises that it offers "unmatched accuracy and precision."
Other highlights include six programmable buttons, three connectivity modes, and fast charging support through USB-C. Asus has yet to share when the mouse will be available globally, but it's expected to make a proper international launch soon.
