Logitech’s ultra-lightweight flagship mouse is set to get a successor soon, featuring several significant upgrades, from a new chip and a dramatically extended battery life to an improved sensor for even more precise cursor control.

The Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike ($179 on Amazon) was just launched in February, and now Winfuture has already published high-resolution images and many details about its successor. The new model is also expected to cost around €180 in Europe, though it is not yet known exactly when the gaming mouse will be released.

The Logitech G Pro X3 Superstrike is shown in the colors Pink Eclipse and Midnight Black. The highlight of its features remains the so-called Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS). This system allows users to adjust the trigger point of both mouse buttons via software, while reducing click latency to 30 milliseconds. Logitech has once again included a Hero 2 sensor, which, however, offers slightly better performance metrics.

The leaked promotional images indicate a maximum acceleration of 90 G, a speed of 930 IPS, and a resolution of 48,000 DPI. The wireless polling rate remains at a maximum of 8,000 Hz. Logitech has incorporated a new NxLogi chip, which is primarily intended to enable longer battery life – marketing now cites 135 hours, instead of the 90 hours offered by the previous model.

Interestingly, the U.S. version of the mouse weighs 59 grams – 2 grams less than the European version. This could indicate that the European version is equipped with a replaceable battery to comply with the EU’s Repair Directive. Charging is done as usual via a USB-C port on the front.
