Samsung confirms One UI 9 rollout dates for these older Galaxy devices

Following the initial release of the stable One UI 9 update for the Galaxy S26 series in South Korea last week, the broader global rollout has officially commenced today. While the software expansion currently focuses on the newest flagship models, Samsung has also outlined specific rollout timelines for several older devices. According to details shared in the Samsung Thailand newsroom, the Galaxy S26 series is scheduled to receive the One UI 9.0 update in Thailand on September 21, aligning closely with the broader international release window.

Beyond the latest flagships, the regional press release confirms that the One UI 9 software will begin rolling out to the Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 starting on September 28. Additionally, Samsung Thailand indicated that the update will reach the Galaxy S23 FE by October, although a specific release day for this model was not provided. While these deployment dates were explicitly announced for the Thai market, it is highly anticipated that other regions will follow a similar or concurrent release schedule.

One UI 9 brings a suite of new tools focused on personalization, productivity, and security. The software introduces My FanCam, a camera enhancement that automatically tracks and centers a selected individual within a video to reduce manual editing. For daily organization, new Generative and Editable Cards on Now Brief allow users to customize their daily summaries with relevant health, weather, and video updates.

Productivity is also supported by Now Nudge, which surfaces context-aware suggestions, such as pulling up reservation details without leaving a text conversation, alongside an improved Interpreter app featuring a Thread View to easily reference earlier translated exchanges. Additionally, the update integrates a Warranty and Care section directly into the settings menu for simplified device management and expands Scam Detection capabilities to protect more users from fraudulent calls.
