The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is getting some big updates with One UI 9
Samsung has released a new beta update for the Galaxy S26-series, adding in features from the Galaxy Z Fold line. Beta testers of One UI 9 can now try out an improved Now Brief on the S26 in addition to a new AI-powered fancam feature.

Samsung has just released a new One UI 9 beta update, and it comes with some features from the Galaxy Z Fold series. Along with a new AI-fancam feature that's straight from the Z series, Samsung is also bringing an improved Now Brief to the Galaxy S26. The new One UI 9 beta feature update is rolling out now.

One of the biggest additions is My FanCam which first appeared on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8. This uses AI to make it easier to capture and share standout moments. The feature can keep a selected person in focus while automatically reframing footage into different aspect ratios, making it easier to prepare videos for different social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

Now Brief gets an improvement here, with the feature now surfacing privacy and security features so that users can stay on top of their device security without needing to dig.

Finally, the update also expands Now Nudge, giving users smarter and more contextual suggestions designed to help them navigate everyday tasks and interactions.

The new features are part of Samsung’s broader push to make Galaxy devices even more proactive, with AI more than ever now being used to surface information and recommendations rather than simply responding to commands.

Users who are already enrolled in the Galaxy S26 series One UI 9 beta program will receive a notification to download the update starting August 28, and some reports indicate that this has already started rolling out. Samsung has not indicated the stable One UI 9 release will hit existing devices after debuting on the new Flip and Fold phones, but each new beta brings us closer to a final release.
