CD Projekt Red announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered as a free upgrade for base game owners, and it will be released on September 29. The minimum and recommended requirements have now been revealed.

Arguably, one of the most exciting announcements at Gamescom was The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered. The game will be available on all platforms starting September 29, and it brings over 30 new changes to enhance the gameplay experience. Now, the PC requirements for the remaster have been revealed.

This will be the first time The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been made available through Battle.net, which is where the minimum and recommended requirements have been shared. The original game came out over 11 years ago and, at the time, was one of the more demanding titles.

Following are the PC requirements for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered:

Minimum:

CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB or Intel Arc A580
RAM: 12 GB
Storage: 70 GB SSD

Recommended:

CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super or AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT or Intel Arc B580
RAM: 16 GB
Storage: 70 GB SSD

As you can see, the recommended requirements for the game are not as demanding. Notably, it doesn’t mention the target resolution and FPS. The Nvidia RTX 20 series and later GPUs support DLSS 4.5, which is one of the upgrades coming with the remaster. However, to officially use frame generation, you will need an RTX 40 series or later GPU.
