iQOO unveils new high-end gaming tablet set to rival upcoming Legion Tab

After days of teasers, iQOO has officially revealed the design of the Pad Ultra. It's set to be a flagship gaming tablet powered by a next-gen performance SoC. In the new teasers, the brand showcased the tab in two different colorways, with one being white and the other being black.
As previously teased, the back of the tablet appears to have a ventilation port for the active cooler. The promo renders suggest that the cooling fan will be right below the square camera island, and this setup could give the iQOO Pad Ultra the push it needs to properly stand against the upcoming gaming tablets from Lenovo Legion and RedMagic.
Speaking of the camera island on the rear, it seems to be housing a single sensor. There's an RGB ring light, similar to what Lenovo integrated on its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-equipped Tab Gen 5.
In the teasers, iQOO has reiterated that the Pad Ultra will feature an 8.8-inch display, which should make it have the same form factor as the Legion Tab Gen 5. While the brand didn't confirm the panel type, previous reports suggest that it will be an OLED screen.
Alongside showcasing the rear design, iQOO has announced two accessories for the Pad Ultra. One of them is a controller that looks to be similar to the Legion G7 (Razer Kishi V3 Pro XL curr. $159.99 on Amazon), while the other is a case that adds grips on the back for enhanced comfort during prolonged sessions.
Other details about the tablet are still under wraps, but the gaming tablet was recently spotted on Geekbench. Per the listing, it will feature the next-gen Qualcomm flagship SoC, rumored to be called the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. It's also expected to feature a 9,000mAh battery and narrow bezels. iQOO is expected to share more teasers before the launch event set for September 29, 2026.
